Treatment of Eye Disease

If you are diagnosed with an eye disease, you want only the best treatment available to get your eyes healthy again. At Moss Eyecare, we offer only the best. Based on your diagnosis, we may recommend a wide variety of approaches, including improved nutrition, prescription medicine, or medical procedures.

Good Eyecare Begins With A Yearly Eye Exam!

Although many do not realize it, the best way to protect your vision is with a yearly eye checkup.  Even a basic eye exam can instantly detect such health-threatening conditions as tumors, vascular irregularities, and diabetes-related problems. At Moss Eyecare, that basic checkup is brief and painless.

What to Expect at Your Yearly Eye Exam

After arriving and signing in, you will complete the "Welcome to Our Office" form, which includes your medical history. Upon completion of your paperwork, you will be pre-tested by one of our assistants. Pre-testing includes case history, past ocular history, past medical history, and family ocular / family medical history. Visual acuity will be tested as well as intraocular pressure. Intraocular pressure will be assessed by an air puff test or another method that requires an eyedrop. After this is completed, you will move to the exam room and be seen by Dr. Moss. He will complete two sections of your eye exam, including a vision test, also known as "refraction," which will determine your prescription for glasses or contact lenses. The second part is the medical eye exam or eye health exam, which may or may not require dilation of your eyes. After your exam, you will see either the contact lens technician or the opticians in the optical, depending on your individual needs. The front desk receptionists will complete your visit with any questions regarding your insurance benefits (if applicable) or your invoice. The Moss Eyecare staff looks forward to helping you.
